Dear photography enthusiasts,
The 18th edition of Rovinj Photodays will commence on January 13, 2026, with the launch of the annual competition for the international photography community titled:
International Competition of Contemporary Photography – 19th Rovinj Photodays, 2026.
The competition will be open until the end of February 2026. Finalists and winners in all categories will be announced in April 2026.
The Grand Prix winner will be announced on May 16, 2026, during the grand finale in Rovinj, where the winner will receive a prize and a cheque for €2,000.
PRIZES
GRAND PRIX 2026
- Cash prize of €2,000
- Solo exhibition with an accompanying catalog at the festival finale in May 2027 in Rovinj
- Complimentary half-board accommodation at Island Hotel Istra during the stay in Rovinj in 2026 and 2027
- Special placement in the museum’s permanent collection – the winning work will be preserved under the curators’ care, either in digital or printed form (as chosen by the author)
- Recognition/plaque: Grand Prix Photodays 2026
PRIZES FOR FINALISTS
- Presentation of all finalists’ works, along with author statements, on the official festival website
- Presentation of selected finalists’ works at a group exhibition during the festival in Rovinj
- All nominated works from the final exhibition will remain permanently in the museum’s digital collection
- Written diplomas/certificates for all winners and finalists of the final exhibition
- Official digital catalog of the final exhibition for all finalists
- Complimentary half-board accommodation for all category winners, for two persons, at Island Hotel Istra during the festival finale in May 2026
The traditional festival finale, along with all accompanying programs, will be held from May 15 to 17, 2026, in Rovinj.
Sponsor-provided prizes, such as accommodation, are subject to changes depending on availability.
