Girlhood provides an insight into the world of young girls and women living in a post-pandemic world in a post-communist landscape. This visual essay talks about the everyday problems these women face. Common themes include identity, relationships, the sexualization of young bodies, or the pressure of social media. The portraits are accompanied by short interviews where the girls talk about their dreams, desires and fears. This series attempts to present the audience with the key to understanding what it means to be a young woman today.
