U Malom salonu izložba fotografija finalista i pobjednika festivala Rovinj Photodays

RIJEKA – U organizaciji riječkog Muzeja moderne i suvremene umjetnosti i fotografskog festivala Rovinj Photodays nastavlja se tradicija prikazivanja fotografija najuspješnijih autora odabranih putem godišnjeg natječaja festivala. Otvaranje izložbe finalista i pobjednika, predviđeno je za utorak, 15. studenog, s početkom u 19 sati, a postava u Malom salonu ostaje izložena do konca mjeseca.

Izložbom radova ovogodišnjih finalista i pobjednika festivala Rovinj Photodays u Muzeju za umjetnost i obrt, nastavlja se suradnja hrvatskog fotografskog festivala i ove kulturne ustanove, započeta prošle godine. Svi radovi koji će biti izloženi, a riječ je o autorskim ostvarenjima ukupno tridesetak fotografa, odabranim među tristotinjak prijavljenih na godišnji natječaj, bit će uvršteni u stalni fundus Muzeja za umjetnost i obrt.  Uoči otvaranja izložbe, 21. rujna, u 18:30, jednosatnom prezentacijom u Muzeju, svoje radove predstavit će Hrvoje Slovenc, ovogodišnji dobitnik nagrade u prestižnoj kategoriji Umjetnički koncept, koji je nagrađen nedavno otvorenom samostalnom izložbom u Studiju Moderne galerije Josip Račić.
 

The fourth consecutive Croatian photography festival is once again held in Rovinj starting on June 10th of this year

The lavish program of the fourth consecutive Croatian photography festival, Rovinj Photodays, will present as many as fifteen photography exhibitions, including the works by the world masters of photography. Starting on June 10th, in Rovinj, the festival will host international photography experts, and numerous visitors will be able to participate in award-winning photo challenges and numerous organized gatherings.

Na press konferenciji održanoj u Muzeju za umjetnost i obrt, u Zagrebu (25.05, u 12:00), proglašeni su finalisti godišnjeg natječaja u 11 službenih kategorija, objavljena je odluka o dobitniku nagrade za Životno djelo te dobitnicima posebnih priznanja za doprinose u fotografiji. Ujedno, najavljen je službeni program festivala koji počinje 10. lipnja u Rovinju.

The latest festival  of Croatian photography festival “Rovinj Photodays” is being prepared , which will be the fourth consecutive event bringing together numerous photographers from around the region as well as participants from around the world. The organizers have announced the official opening for 10th June in Rovinj, and judging by the planned activities – they will be reason enough for coming to Rovinj this year. Rovinj's days of photography, modeled after some of the world’s best photography festivals, photographers and visitors will have the chance to participate in a numerous interesting workshops, lectures and panel discussions, portfolio reviews, exhibitions and the great prize awarding photo routes.

Just like we announced, exactly at midnight, on April 20th, officially ended the competition which has been part of the festival of photography “Rovinj Photodays” for the fourth year in a row.
We would like to thank all the participants for their trust, effort and applications which kept coming up until the very last moment.

ZAGREB- An exhibition of photographs by the finalists and the winners of the contest ˝Photodays 2010˝ will be opened starting 8 PM on Thursday, September 2 in the Museum of Arts and Crafts. The collection will remain exhibited until September 10 and will be presented by Denis Redić, the festival’s C.E.O., Helena Srakocic, the president of this year’s jury and Dubravka Osrečki Jakelić, a museum consultant in the Museum of Arts and Crafts and also a member of this year’s jury. All the photographs from the exhibition will also be included into the Museum’s  Collection of Newer Photographs.

The Third Edition of the Photodays Festival Ends

The festival concluded with a  dinner and party on the terrace of the Hotel Eden, within which the winners were pronounced and given awards - a financial reward of 5000 kunas and the official ˝Frame˝ reward. This honour, within their respective categories, went to: Stanko Abadžić (publishing), Ivana Hengl (architecture), Tom Dubravec (people), Dinko Cepak (multimedia), Mladen Šarić (still life), Petra Mrša (nude), Romano Decker i Dejan Kutić (fashion), Dinko Neskusil (nature), Petar Trinajstić (freestyle) i Ana Peraica (professional concept), while Antonio Bronić was awarded the extra-categorial press photography award. Renco Kosinožić's daughter took over the special lifetime achievement award given to him in his name.

Finalists of the “Photodays 2010” competition chosen and the official festival program announced

 For this year’s “Photodays 2010” competition for the most successful recent photographic achievements, which was opened at the beginning of March for the third year in a row almost 10,000 photographs in 10 official categories were received. 

The winners of the official categories win a prize of 5,000 kunas, the official award “Kadar” (“Scene”), participation in the group exhibition “Photodays 2010” (Multimedia Center in Rovinj, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art: Mali Salon in Rijeka, the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb…), and the finalists’ photographs will added to the permanent holdings of the Museum of Arts and Crafts.

The competition is closed

According to information and announcements, the Photodays 2010 competition was officially closed on April 30th, at midnight.
We would like to thank all participants for their applications and trust, patience, time and effort for turning in the application of their photographs.

The list of selected photographs and the names of the authors of the competition finalists will be published at the official web page on May 25th, while a press conference will be organized on the same day at the Museum of Arts and Crafts at 12 o’clock.
During the press conference, besides the selection of the Jury, the media will be informed about the cooperation with the Museum of Arts and Crafts, as well as about the official program of the festival.

THE NEW COMPETITION AND FESTIVAL EVENTS

This year’s competition has 10 official categories: architecture, fashion, nature, people, free subject, nude, photo-illustrated monograph, a concept through a series of images, multimedia and still nature. The competition is open till April 30.

The winners of official categories win a prize of 5000 kunas, the official award “Scene”, participation in the group exhibition  “Photodays 2010” (Multimedia Centre in Rovinj, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art: Mali salon in Rijeka, Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb…), and the winning photos will be included in the holdings of the Museum of Arts and Crafts.

U četvrtak, 29. listopada u 18 sati, u Malom salonu biti će otvorena izložba finalista i pobjednika natječaja za najbolje fotografije Photodays 2009. Izložbu, koja ostaje otvorena do 15. studenog, prigodnim će govorom otvoriti Denis Redić, direktor festivala Photodays, Jelena Petković, PR festivala i  Nataša Ivančević, viša kustosica Muzeja moderne i suvremene umjetnosti u Rijeci.
